Each and every director of a company must execute operations of the company as if  he were a shareholder of the company.

会社の各取締役はいずれも皆、あたかも自分が会社の株主であるかのように会社の業務を執行しなければならないのです。

On the principle of law, the purpose of a corporation is "maximizing interests of shareholders" only.
You can surely understand the meaning of this purpose if you have actually become a shareholder for yourself.

法理的には、企業の目的は「株主の利益を最大化すること」だけなのです。
自分自身が実際に株主になってみたら、この目的の意味がきっと理解できるでしょう。
